Mentor at AI Malaysia Takeover (Learnathon)

On 12 August 2026 I volunteered as a mentor at the Malaysian Learn-a-thon, part of AI Malaysia Takeover, run by Ludic Asia and 500 Global at The Campus, Ampang. It was billed as Malaysia’s first and largest AI build session.

The idea is simple. You show up, learn, build something with AI and demo it live on stage. No coding experience needed, which is the part I like most about it. People could drop in and leave whenever they wanted, and they had a range of AI tools to pick from, including Claude Code, ChatGPT Desktop and Lovable.

What I did

As a mentor, I gave participants hands-on help whenever they got stuck: choosing a tool, getting it set up, and working out the next step for what they were building.
